DISTRIBUTION OF FREE SANITARY PADS TO SCHOOLS.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARSENAL FAN CLUB KITALE BRANCH.

Despite the provision of Basic Education, many girls continue to miss out on Education due to absenteeism that is in relation to reproductive health issues. This has forced them to stay away from school because they are not facilitated to manage their menstruation. In a study conducted by the ministry of Education, it shows that girls from poor families miss 20% of school days in a year due to lack of sanitary towels.

In this data by the Ministry of Education, it indicates that a girl that is absent from school for four days per month loses 13 or more learning days. Which is equivalent to two weeks of learning in every school term. This is such a sad state of affair and, we as foundation are striving hard to make the learning process of each girl child smooth and, in a dignified manner.

Our Founder has in the past years done more of these, “A PAD FOR A GIRL CAMPAIGN” in different schools and, homes. It has benefited more than 100,000s of school going girls from Trans-Nzoia county. His passion for Education pushed him to donate these pads so as to facilitate the school going girls to stay in school, in order not to miss classes.

Recently, on the 27th of July 2023, our team distributed in partnership with Arsenal Fan Club Kitale Branch, sanitary towels to more than 7500 girls from different schools and, homes in Trans-Nzoia county. These includes, Lessos Secondary school, Matisi Girls, Matisi Mixed Secondary school, Masinde Muliro secondary school (they also received free ream papers from our team), and, Wamalwa Kijana Secondary school.

Sanitary towels program to girls in public schools was first launched in 2011 under the ministry of Education. The Ministry has since then been procuring and, distributing sanitary towels to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our foundation has in the past to present day, hopped in to this noble course and, help as any as we can.

We are determined to continue to make the lives of our girls better, easier and, dignified as they pursue their Education. Through partnerships, donations, grants and, collaborations, our foundation is ready to expand not only in Trans-Nzoia, but countrywide too.

We are spearheading supreme importance of the girl childs’ health by not only donating the sanitary towels but also increase sanitary hygiene awareness in ‘mashinani. All these measures will ensure their protection against spread of diseases.

We believe in empowering a girl child and, therefore, we call upon non profit organizations and, government organizations to join hands with us to reach more girls.
