THE ALLAN CHESANG SUPER LEAGUE

Trans-Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang has partnered with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to sponsor the Allan Chesang Super League tournament which is set for the 7th of October, 2023 at Ndura Sports Complex, Kitale.

Speaking on Tuesday at the Ndura sports ground, the 3rd October, the senator has said he is partnering with FKF in order to promote fairness in the tournament which is highly competitive. Further stating that the tournament is aimed at empowering the youth and reducing drug abuse in Trans-Nzoia county. Adding that he not only want to keep the youths busy, but also empower their talents.

Four hundred men teams and fifty teams from the ladies side will take part in the tournament for football and, the league will also include other games such as volleyball, pool and other indoor games. Winners from the male side will walk away with one million Kenyan shillings, while the runners up will walk away with 500,000 ksh and 3rd and fourth teams will receive two hundred and fifty thousand shillings and hundred thousand shillings respectively. Moreover, for the ladies, the winning team will take home 300,000 ksh, second team 200,000 ksh while the third and fourth team will take home 100,000 and 50,000 shillings respectively.

Senator Allan highlighted that more cash prizes has been allocated to the men because they have more teams hence more training required of them compared to the ladies. He further called upon the youths from the region to show up in large number for the ongoing registration and, also cheer up the players during kick-off. Urging the people of Trans-Nzoia that sports is a way to bring people together, promoting a sense of community, hence promoting unity and cohesion.

This is the second edition of the Allan Chesang Super League which is taking place. The first AC super league took place in the previous year. Senator Chesang has expressed his intention to have this league annually going forward.
